Very Rare Old American Heavy Sterling Silver Cake Knife
Circa 1920-1930
Please note this is a CAST sterling silver handle AND blade. Also note the lovely vermeil (gilt sterling) leaf where the handle meets the blade. The handle also has a “Green Man” mask head motif. (Most Cake or Dessert knives may have a sterling hollow handle and a stainless steel blade, but this piece is heavy cast sterling handle and blade!)
